dc.description.abstract | The boreal forest has a vast area, and its types are distributed in a belt around the polar regions. The soil types of boreal forests are also different due to different vegetation types and climatic conditions in the boreal region. Fire is one of the common disturbances in boreal forests, and it is also one of the methods of boreal forest management. As we all know, fire is one of the causes of soil degradation. Therefore, the main purpose of this article is to explore the correlation between fires and soil degradation in boreal forests by reviewing the effects of forest fires on soil properties. After research, severe fires are one of the causes of forest soil degradation. However, severe fires will cause regional degradation of some soil types in the boreal forests, and the soil degradation of the boreal forests also depends on natural and human factors after the fire. | en_US |
