Abstract: This paper shall attempt to outline William Heyen's Transcendental Vision. Chapter One, sections one to three, defines Transcendentalism, explores the visions of two well known American thinkers, Ralph Waldo Emerson and Walt Whitman, and shows how they are important to Heyen's work. Chapter Two explores Heyen's symbols and themes, specifically: Light, Prism and Vapour. Chapter Three likewise explores. Tree, Wenzel and Machine. The final section shall coalesce and conclude Heyen's modern Transcendental vision.
