It is known that children with DCD have difficulties organizing actions involving coordination between limbs or limb pairs (e.g., Astill, 2007; Volman, Laroy, & Jongmans, 2006). It is also apparent that a coalition of constraints forces certain movement patterns to emerge at any level of organization (Newell, 1985). No research has examined how children with and without DCD solve the degrees of freedom problem, in the face of relevant constraints, during uni-manual goal-directed actions.en_US
