dc.description.abstract	Thirty nine species and subspecies of ants were collected from the Thunder Bay District of Ontario, Canada, in the summer of 1970. Extensions of known range were recorded for Leptothorax poss. texanus, Camponotus pennsylvanicus, Formica fossaceps, F. integra tahonensis, F. oreas, F. marcida, and F. montana. Dates of reproductive flights were recorded for Dolichoderus taschenbergi, Camponotus herculeanus, Lasius pallitarsis, and Formica fossaceps. Interesting habitats and behaviourisms were recorded for each of the species.
